The Butler Public Library will host a Grim Reaper Party at 6 p.m. Saturday to mark the release of the Butler County Online Obituary Index.
The index, which includes information from 1824 to 1995, was created by library volunteer Lou Heitlinger, assisted by the School of Computer Science at Slippery Rock University and other volunteers.

Lifesteps will host free Child Check developmental screenings for children 5 and younger from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Butler Public Library, 218 N.
