An Oct. 6 wedding is being planned by Machele "Missy" Leonard and Greg Marfil, both of Las Vegas.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Leonard of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Helen Marfil of Vacaville, Calif., and the late Salvador Marfil.

The bride-elect is a 1989 graduate of Butler High School, a 1992 graduate of Butler County Community College and a 1996 graduate of Clarion University. She is currently employed as a senior credit underwriter for HSBC in Las Vegas.

Her fiancé graduated in 1982 from Vacaville High School, in 1988 from Solano Community College and in 1994 from Humboldt State University. He works as a fire mitigation and education specialist for the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management in Las Vegas.
