CANDICE EYERMAN (Seneca Valley), a member of the Waynesburg College women's basketball team, was selected as the Division III Southern Player of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Association. She had 17 points and seven rebounds in a 55-54 win over LaRoche Saturday, including a pair of free throws with less than one second remaining.

RACHEL EATON (Union), a junior guard for the Westminster women's basketball team, made the second of two free throws as time expired, breaking a 41-all tie to give her team the win, its first of the season, over LaRoche Monday. She added three steals to the winning effort.

SHAWN CARR (Grove City College), was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference's men's Basketball Player of the Week. He scored a team-high 22 points and added seven rebounds and three steals in a 77-76 double-overtime win against Hiram last Wednesday.

JOSH KNIESS (Slippery Rock) was named to the CollegeSportsReport.com third-team All-America squad as a punt return specialist. He led the PSAC for the second consecutive year and ranked fourth nationally with an 18.4 yards per return average.

KIM NOWAKOWSKI (Butler) scored eight points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to help the California (Pa.) University women's basketball team defeat Mansfield, 89-67.
