BUTLER TWP — A breakfast with Santa hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department and Butler Township is set for 10:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at the Butler Township building, South Duffy Road.

Crafts, games and goodies will be included in the cost of $5 per child. The event is designed for toddlers through age 10.

Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration is required.

KARNS CITY — Karns City High School will host a Christmas Idol competition at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 in the High School Auditorium, 1446 Kittanning Pike.Students will compete for the title with Christmas-themed music and dance performances.Karns City alumni and staff also will perform.Admission is $6.

Boylan and Glenn-Kildoo funeral homes will co-sponsor their annual memorial services in December.The services are open to anyone who has lost a loved one in the past year. Each attendee will receive a Christmas ornament inscribed with the name of their loved one.
