A July 22 wedding is being planned by Melissa Barger of Kittanning and Jason Venesky of Cowansville.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Merle and Marilyn Barger of Kittanning. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Linda Venesky of Cowansville and the late Anthony Venesky.

The bride-elect attended Armstrong Central High School, and graduated from Penn State University in 1996, Indiana (Pa.) University in 1998 and Clarion University in 2003. She is employed by the South Butler County School District.

Her fiancé attended East Brady High School and graduated in 1996 from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a music teacher in the Armstrong School District.
