A May 20 wedding is being planned by Tricia Michel of New Castle, formerly of Butler, and Dave Swisher of State College.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tom and Carol Michel of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Gary and Sue Swisher of Williamsport.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Butler High School and a 2001 graduate of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business economics. She works as a business analyst with Liberty Mutual Insurance in New Castle.

Her fiancé graduated in 1997 from Williamsport High School and in 2001 and 2002 from Penn State University earning a bachelor of science degree in civil and environmental engineering and a master of science degree in environmental engineering. He works for Herbert, Rowland and Grubic Engineering in State College.
