An Aug. 12 wedding is being planned by Pearl Fannin and Ronnie Walker, both of Valencia.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Stroup of Bruin and the late Elsworth Fannin of Keneva, W.Va. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Roger Walker of West Sunbury and Joan Bruno of Ormond Beach, Fla.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Karns City High School and a graduate of Robert Morris University, receiving an associate's degree in 1991, a bachelor's degree in 1993 and a master's degree in 2002. She works as a regional training consultant with McDonald's in Pittsburgh.

Her fiancé is a 1989 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 1997 graduate of both Slippery Rock University and the Community College of the Air Force. He works as a safety director with Specialized Professional Services in Washington.
