An Aug. 12 wedding is being planned by Jillian Newcomb and Patrick McCurdy, both of Butler.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Steven and Becky Newcomb and Thomas and Anita Fischer, all of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Ken and Donna McCurdy and Joseph and MaryAnn Phillips, all of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Butler High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She is employed in the office of Drs. Bauer and Manganaro in Gibsonia.

Her fiancé graduated in 1991 from Butler High School and in 1997 from Indiana (Pa.) University. He works for the Department of Homeland Security in Virginia.
