Matthew Shockey, son of Gregg Shockey of Butler and Lony J. Shockey of Champaign, Ill., recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.---Marine Pvt.

John Shuttle graduated from basic training in Parris Island, S.C., on Sept. 9.Shuttle, a graduate of Oil City High School, is the son of Mary Shuttle and Scott Graham of East Brady.He will be assigned to Camp Lejeune, N.C., and then will attend military intelligence school in Virginia.---

Mathew Keasey, son of Delbert Keasey and Kimberly Rome of Butler, entered the Air Force's delayed entry program on Jan. 21.The 2005 graduate of Butler High School, shipped to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on Sept. 20.
