Douglas Pugliese, brother of Danielle Meehan of Glenshaw and Frank Pugliese of Berwyn, Chester County, and fellow Marines and sailors took part in a community relations project during a port visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, while on a scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism while assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, homebased at Camp Lejeune, N.C.Pugliese and other volunteers worked at City of Hope, a women's shelter in Jumeirah, where they painted hallways and performed general repair work.Pugliese, a 1994 graduate of Butler High School, joined the Navy in July 1999. Kevin Healy, a 1989 graduate of Moniteau High School, recently departed on a scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism while assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 87 embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, homeported in Norfolk, Va.Healy's squadron flies the F/A-18C Hornet that is used for force projection, interdiction, close and deep air support and fleet air defense.Healy joined the Navy in May 1993.
