Garren Mallette, son of Randall Mallette and Leeann Richler of Butler, entered the delayed entry program for the Air Force on April 8 and shipped to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base on Aug. 30. Mallette is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School.———

Chip Scheller, son of Edward Scheller and Vicki Smalley of Butler, entered the Air Force delayed entry program on Nov. 17, 2004. Scheller is a 2005 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.
