Joe Boros, a resident of Saxonburg and the golf pro at Treesdale Golf Club, finished in seventh place at the 2005 Seven Springs Open in Somerset County on Monday.

Boros fired a round of 73, while Travis Dickson, a member at Treesdale, managed a 74 and finished in ninth place.

Junior setter Sara Kirsch and junior defensive specialist Gwen Oberlin received all-tournament honors Saturday after leading the Slippery Rock University women's volleyball team to three wins in four games at the Millersville Dutch Country Spiketacular Classic.The Rock defeated Adelphi, New Haven and Glenville State by 3-0 counts and lost to Dowling by the same score.Kirsch had 154 assists, 74 digs and six blocks in the tournament while Oberlin had 36 digs.SRU (9-3) opens its PSAC West season today at Clarion.
