Kevin Roth, a native of Butler, was recently named a distinguished faculty member by the Clarion University Alumni Association.A professor of administrative sciences at Clarion, he also serves as an advisor to the university's chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management and the faculty athletic representative.Roth earned a bachelor of science degree from Slippery Rock University, a master's degree from Clarion and a doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also certified in commercial/industrial real estate appraisal.Before becoming a full-time faculty member at Clarion in 1990, he taught at the University of Pittsburgh and in the business programs at Indiana (Pa.) University and Slippery Rock University.Outside of Clarion University, Roth has also served for 13 years on the Clarion County Planning Commission.He currently resides in Clarion with his wife, Carol Roth, and three children.---

<b>Debra Highland</b> of Petrolia was recently chosen as a winner in the 2004 Authentic Woman Model Search for Linda Lundstrom, a designer in Toronto.A freelance writer and mother of three, she was one of eight winners chosen for her essay on the topic "Living as an Authentic Woman."Winners traveled to Toronto to model for Lundstrom's fall collection and also received a $1,000 wardrobe.---

<b>Susie Zavacky </b>was recently named the Auxiliary Member of the Year by the Michael Kosar American Legion Auxiliary, Post 778.Zavacky was honored with a luncheon with Butler County commissioners and a tea given by the Legion Auxiliary.---

<b>Jon Fair</b> of Petrolia and <b>George Hancher</b> and <b>William Marlowe Jr.</b>, both of Harmony, were among 238 Scottish Rite Masons elevated to the 33rd degree during a recent ceremony at the Supreme Council of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in Grand Rapids, Mich.Members were elevated based on achievement within the fraternity and for contributions to others reflecting credit on freemasonry.---
