Smith wins match at U.S Amateur
Nathan Smith of Brookville, a member of St. Jude Golf Club in Chicora, one his match in the first round of match play Wednesday at the U.S. Amateur Championship at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa.
Smith beat Ron Harvey Jr. of Canada 2 and 1 to advance to today's second round.
