Navy Fireman

Matthew Dunlap, son of Mark Dunlap of Portersville and Virginia Dunlap of Virginia Beach, Va., recently made a port visit to Sydney, Australia while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.On the first day of the visit, Dunlap's ship hosted a reception for more than 1,000 Australian dignitaries, and conducted tours for more than 3,000 guests.Dunlap joined the Navy in September 2003.---Four area Marines are currently the middle of a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.Pfc.

Kenneth Reiber Jr., are members of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Division, homebased in Moundsville, W.Va. Their primary mission is to locate, close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver, or to repel their assault by fire and close combat.Aiken, son of Kimberly and Dennis Aiken of Mars, is a 2003 graduate of Mars High School and joined the Marine Corps in April 2004.Leo, a 2003 alumnus of Seneca Valley High School, joined the Marine Corps Reserve in May 2003.Montgomery is a 2002 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and joined the Marine Corps in March 2003.Reiber graduated from Grove City High School in 1998 and joined the Marine Corps in August 2001.
