NEW YORK - John Madden will join NBC as a game analyst when the network begins televising its newly acquired Sunday night football package in 2006. NBC announced Wednesday it had signed Madden to a six-year deal.

Madden has spent the past three seasons teamed with Al Michaels on ABC's "Monday Night Football," a spot he will remain in for one more season.

Before joining ABC, Madden teamed with Pat Summerall to call Fox's lead game from 1994-2001. They were the top NFL announcing team on CBS for 13 seasons before that.

John Aubrey Sr. of Butler shot a 72-68-140 to win the senior class at the 2005 Tri-State Open at New Castle Country Club Wednesday.Aubrey was seven strokes better than second-place finisher Bob Gordon.He was just one stroke behind the overall winner, Kevin Shields of Mt. Lebanon. Shields shot a 68-71-139 to win.Marty Rinker of Slippery Rock was 13th in the event, firing a 146 in the two rounds.

The American Golf Hall of Fame Pro-Am Tournament was held Sunday at Foxburg Country Club.Tri-State professional golfer Harry Toscano joined Ryan Spear, Jim Campbell, Steve McFadden and Mike Steadman to form the winning team. The group finished the event with a score of minus-22.
