They recently renovated the department's 1985 squad truck. The 5-ton truck is used as part of a countywide education program, sponsored by Butler City Firefighters Local 1749, that provides information on fire safety and prevention, and severe weather programming. The school's automotive shop class did minor body repair and painted the truck.
