GOOD FRIDAY AROUND THE WORLD
Christians all over the world are making Good Friday today, the day when Jesus Christ was crucified. At the village of Cutud in the Philippines, a crowd watches as penitents are nailed to their respective crosses in a reenactment of the crucifixion . About two dozen penitents, including two women, were nailed to the cross as a form of penance in a unique Lenten ritual in the only predominantly Catholic country in Asia.
Alan D'Souza, dressed as Jesus Christ, carries a cross while reenacting Jesus' path to crucifixion during a procession today in Bombay, India.
