Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do Institute recently opened a new location at 5499 Route 8, just north of Wal-Mart, in Richland Township.

The new school, directed by Master Instructor Dee Cottage of Butler, a fourth-degree black belt, offers traditional tae kwon-do for children and adults.

The Richland school is one of seven locations of Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do in the area headed by Grand Master Young Bo Kong, ninth-degree black belt and two-time world champion.

Other Young Brothers schools are located in Ross, Cranberry, Butler, Fox Chapel, Bellevue, Robinson and Indiana, Pa.

Mars senior 112-pound wrestler Adam Smetana scored a 13-3 decision over Anthony Duffield of East Liverpool, Ohio, during the MAC-Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Clash of Champions recently.Duffield was a three-time Ohio state qualifier with more than 100 career wins.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Free-agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress reached an agreement with the New York Giants on a six-year, $25 million contract Thursday, a football source said.The deal includes an $8 million signing bonus, the source told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.The agreement comes a week after the Giants said they were no longer interested in signing the speedy former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver, and just days after Burress switched agents.Burress met with the Giants eight days ago and rejected an offer that was almost the same as the one he agreed to Thursday.

SAN FRANCISCO - Barry Bonds underwent a second operation on his right knee Thursday, a setback that could complicate his hopes of being ready for opening day.While the San Francisco Giants offered no timetable for the slugger's return, it took the seven-time NL MVP more time than expected to recover from the original surgery on the knee Jan. 31.The Giants said in a statement that Bonds had arthroscopic surgery to repair tears in the knee.Bonds begins the season with 703 homers, third on the career list behind Babe Ruth (714) and Hank Aaron (755).
