Ten Slippery Rock University indoor track athletes - five men and five women - earned top honors in their respective events at the PSAC West Challenge held Saturday at Morrow Field House.

On the women's side, Heather Kozuchowsky won the shot put while Kristen Jones claimed the 55-meter dash and Allison Gardner won the 400 meter run.

Katie Jones and Abby McKissick tied for first place in the pole vault.

On the men's side, Tim Tray and Kurt Thompson tied for first in the pole vault and Preston Gibbs won the triple jump.

Seth Little won the long jump and Justin Gavazzi claimed the 1,000-meter run.

The Rock travels to Kent State University for the Kent State Tuneup Feb. 19.

The Rock (1-3) recorded its first win Saturday with a 5-4 triumph over visiting Malone (Ohio).Rich Moore won the No. 2 singles match 2-6, 6-3, 6-3, then teamed with Ryan Steeh to win No. 1 doubles, 8-5.Zack Thomas won No. 3 singles 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, John Crosley won No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-1 and Paul DiTomasso won No. 6 singles 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 for SRU.The Rock heads to Hilton Head Island, S.C., for its annual spring trip next month and faces Greensboro March 7.
