Aiding young tsunami victims

Seneca Valley juniors and seniors pack school-related items into education kits Jan. 21 at the intermediate high school to be sent to victims of the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia. The project was headed up by senior high teacher Judy Alexander and the Caring And Using Service Education group. The items were collected from students in all grades. Teachers also were asked to donate items such as hand sanitizers, child-safe scissors and jump ropes. CAUSE members hope to pack and send at least 600 kits for young tsunami victims. The Dec. 26 tragedy has killed

between 145,000 and 178,000 people.
