Try as he might, Glenn Reepmeyer couldn't prevent the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team from remaining winless Friday night.

Reepmeyer scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, blocked five shots and had three steals - leading The Rock in all four categories - in SRU's 80-67 loss to Mars Hill (N.C.) in the first round of the Theras-Pro Tournament at Glenville State (W.Va.) University.

Bill Johnson added 15 points for SRU (0-5) and Ben Daniels contributed 10 off the bench.

Mars Hill (5-5) was paced by the tandem of Walt Baxley and Jeremiah Tinch.

Baxley had 28 points while Tinch had 24 points and nine rebounds. Stephano Jackson had seven assists.

SRU plays host Glenville in the tournament's consolation game at 6 p.m. Saturday.
