A touchdown, a field goal, even a safety decided NFL overtime games.
For only the second time in league history, a safety provided the winning points in overtime when Chicago beat Tennessee 19-17 Sunday. Alex Brown sacked Billy Volek in the end zone, forcing a fumble recovered by Titans tackle Fred Miller for the two points.
The only other time overtime ended on a safety was Nov. 5, 1989, when Minnesota beat the Los Angeles Rams 23-21 after Mike Merriweather blocked Dale Hatcher's punt and the ball rolled out of the end zone.

"I knew if I could just get the ball to Jimmy, he could take care of the rest," Garrard said. "I knew we needed some big plays and I knew he was the man to get them."
Baltimore's man of the extra moment was Matt Stover, who kicked a 42-yard field goal to beat the New York Jets 20-17. Last season, Stover kicked two winning field goals in overtime for Baltimore (6-3).
"It comes down to being able to calm down, stay with your technique and just trust your holder and snapper," Stover said.
