BCCC off to 2-0 start in men's basketball
Five players scored in double figures Saturday afternoon as the Butler County Community College men's basketball team defeated Jefferson (Ohio) Community College, 94-76.
Butler graduate Joel Rehm and Matt Lobaugh led the Pioneers (2-0) with 15 points each. Rehm added nine assists.
"Matt's one of my best players and he got in foul trouble early," Pioneers coach Tony Grenek said. "I took him out to see how the team would respond and a lot of guys picked it up."
Jeremy Peterson added 13 points for BCCC and Moniteau graduate Matt Goettler had 12 points and seven assists.
Corey Robinson had 12 points and five rebounds. Lobaugh contributed six boards.
Tim West paced Jefferson (0-3) with 38 points.
