Computer seminar set for farmers
NEW CASTLE - The Penn State Cooperative Extension of Lawrence County will sponsor a two-day workshop to teach agricultural producers or a family member how to use the Quickbooks computerized record-keeping program.
The workshop will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 18 in the Lawrence County Extension Office in the courthouse on Court Street.
Joyce Jones, a certified Quickbooks instructor and tax accountant with extensive farm accounting experience, will lead the workshop.
A computer from the Penn State mobile computer lab will be available for each participant.
A registration fee of $50 includes the cost of the instruction, the computer lab and lunch. The Ag Choice Farm Credit provided financial support by paying for meals and refreshments.
If a second person from the same farm attends, the charge is $14 for that person.
To register, call the Lawrence County Extension Office at 724-654-8370 by Nov. 12.
