Adrian Peterson, Oklahoma, ran for 225 yards in the second-ranked Sooners' 12-0 victory over No. 5 Texas.

Anthony Davis, Wisconsin, ran for 168 yards and a touchdown to lead the No. 15 Badgers to a 24-13 victory over No. 18 Ohio State.

Tielor Robinson, Army, scored five touchdowns to help the Black Knights snap the longest losing streak in the nation at 19 with a 48-29 victory over Cincinnati.

Kellen Clemens, Oregon, threw for 437 yards and three touchdowns and ran for three more scores to help the Ducks rally for a 41-38 victory over Washington State.

Sonny Cumbie, Texas Tech, threw for 436 yards and five touchdowns in the Red Raiders' 70-10 victory over Nebraska.

Vernand Morency, Oklahoma State, ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns, lifting No. 22 Oklahoma State to a 42-14 victory over Colorado.

Marcus Randall, LSU, came off the bench and threw two touchdown passes, including a 10-yarder with 27 seconds to play, to help No. 24 LSU upset No. 12 Florida 24-21.

Noah Herron, Northwestern, ran for 197 yards and three touchdowns, including the winning score in the second overtime, as the Wildcats beat Indiana 31-24.

Jamario Thomas, North Texas, rushed for a school record 256 yards and two touchdowns to lead North Texas past Utah State 31-23.

Kenny James, Washington, ran for 189 yards, getting 179 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, to help Washington beat San Jose State 21-6.

Jerome Mathis, Hampton, caught seven passes for 234 yards and three long touchdowns, helping Hampton rally past Gardner-Webb 48-25.

Trey Bonner, Tennessee Tech, rushed for 213 yards, including two touchdowns, and Tennessee Tech beat Chattanooga 52-34.

Ryan Sylvia, Springfield, ran for 197 yards, scored four touchdowns and passed for one score as Springfield beat Western Connecticut 56-27.

GOOD KNIGHTS

Army snapped the nation's longest losing streak at 19 with a 48-29 victory over Cincinnati. The Black Knights' last victory came on Nov. 16, 2002, against Tulane, and their last home win was Oct. 27, 2001, also against Tulane.

SECOND HOME

Wisconsin's 24-13 victory over Ohio State was the Badgers' third straight at Ohio Stadium, the first time a visitor has done that since Illinois won four in a row from 1988-94. The Badgers had not won even twice in a row before at Ohio State in the series dating to 1913.

EYE SORE

Ohio State's 24-13 loss to Wisconsin ended the Buckeyes' 18-game home winning streak and, with last week's 33-27 overtime loss to Northwestern, gave coach Jim Tressel the first back-to-back losses in his 31/2 seasons. The Buckeyes also dropped to 0-2 in the Big Ten for the first time since 1992.

CREAMED CORN

Texas Tech beat Nebraska 70-10, the worst lost in the Cornhuskers' storied 114-year history. Before Saturday, the most points scored against Nebraska came in a 62-36 loss to Colorado in 2001. Nebraska's largest previous margin of defeat was 54, set in a 54-0 loss to Minnesota in 1943 and matched in a 54-0 loss to Indiana in 1944 and a 61-7 loss to Minnesota in 1945.

HEAVYWEIGHTS

No. 1 Southern California's 23-17 win over No. 7 California was the first time in 52 years the Golden Bears and Trojans met with both teams ranked in the top 10. ... No. 14 Michigan's 27-24 win over No. 13 Minnesota was the first time both teams were ranked for a game in Ann Arbor since 1949.

800 NUMBER

Notre Dame became just the second Division I-A team to win 800 games with a 23-15 win over Stanford. Michigan has 838 victories following its win over Minnesota.

DRAWING A BLANK

Texas lost to Oklahoma 12-0, getting shut out for the first time in 282 games and ending the longest streak in the country. The Sooners limited the Longhorns' rushing attack, which entered the game as the nation's best at 353.5 yards per game, to 154 yards.

SWING

One week after its 70-63 victory over Rice in the highest-scoring regulation game in NCAA history, San Jose State lost to Washington 21-6.

TOUGH BREAK

Southern California receiver Steve Smith broke his left leg in the Trojans' 23-17 victory over California. Smith, the team's leading receiver, left the game for good after a 31-yard over-the-shoulder catch in the third quarter that led to the Trojans' second touchdown.

SHUTOUT

VMI was blanked by Georgetown 21-0, the Keydets' first shutout since a 34-0 loss to William & Mary in 2001.

SNAPPED

No. 3 Georgia snapped its 17-game winning home streak - the second-longest in school history - with a 19-14 loss to No. 17 Tennessee. The Volunteers snapped a four-game losing streak to the Bulldogs, beating them for the first time since 1999. ... No. 23 Maryland snapped a 13-game home winning streak with a 20-7 loss to Georgia Tech. The Terrapins were undefeated at home since September 2002 and 21-1 at Byrd Stadium since coach Ralph Friedgen took over the program in 2001. ...
