-Alley Broussard, LSU, rushed for a career-high three touchdowns, helping the No. 13 Tigers rout Mississippi State 51-0.

-Bobby Seck, Hofstra, threw eight touchdown passes to tie an Atlantic 10 mark and set a school record in the Pride's 62-43 victory over Rhode Island.

-Marty Johnson, Utah, tied a school record with four rushing touchdowns and the No. 14 Utes held off Air Force 49-35.

-Ciatrick Fason, Florida, had a career-high 210 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the No. 16 Gators' 20-3 win over Kentucky.

-Clifton Dawson, Harvard, ran for 142 yards and three touchdowns to help the Crimson beat Brown 35-34.

-Derric Daniels, Fordham, threw for 251 yards and five touchdowns, lifting the Rams to a 41-34 win over Duquesne.

-Erik Ainge and Cedric Houston, Tennessee. Ainge threw three touchdown passes, and Cedric Houston ran for 160 yards and two scores as the No. 11 Volunteers beat Louisiana Tech 42-17.

-Dan Orlovsky, Connecticut, threw for 288 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 40-3 victory over Army.

-Tyler Palko, Pitt, completed 30 of 36 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers beat Furman 41-38 in overtime.

-NULLIFIEDLSU rolled up 594 yards and held Mississippi State to seven first downs and 130 yards in a 51-0 rout Saturday. The No. 13 Tigers' defense looked like the dominating force that helped win a share of the national championship last year with four interceptions, a fumble recovery, and a touchdown against the Bulldogs. On the way to the BCS title in 2003, LSU scored seven defensive touchdowns while forcing 33 turnovers.

-No. 8 Florida State forced five turnovers in a 41-22 win over Clemson, and coach Bobby Bowden earned his 344th career victory - the most by a Division I-A coach. Bowden also improved to 5-1 in matchups against his son, Tigers coach Tommy Bowden.

Bobby Seck threw eight touchdown passes to tie the Atlantic 10 Conference mark and set a Hofstra record as the Pride beat Rhode Island 62-43. Seck matched the A-10 mark set by Tom Ehrhardt of Rhode Island in a 56-42 victory over Connecticut in 1985, and he broke his school record of six by Rocky Butler in a 55-28 win over Albany, N.Y., in 2000. Seck finished 30-for-43 for 560 yards, missing the school record of 585 set by Tim Lynch in 1991.

Cedric Benson rushed for more than 100 yards for the third straight game to help the No. 5 Longhorns beat Rice 35-13. Benson, who rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown, is the first Texas back to rush for more than 100 yards in the first three games of the season since Ricky Williams did it in 1996.
