An Oct. 23 wedding is being planned by Mars residents Michelle Schubert and David Metz Jr.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Carl and Charmain Schubert of Mars. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Dave Metz of Valencia and Gloria Smith of New Castle.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Mars High School and a 2003 graduate of Messiah College. She works at St. Barnabas Health System in Gibsonia.

Her fiancé is a 1996 graduate of Mars High School. He works at Parks Moving and Storage in Cranberry Township.
