A Dec. 13 wedding is being planned by Mariana Gomes of Balneário Camboriú, Brazil and Mark Glasgow of Lyndora.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Élio and Neusa Gomes of Balneário Camboriú. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Richard and Estelle Glasgow of Severn, Md.

The bride-elect graduated in 1999 from Colégio São José. She is currently completing law school at Universidade do Vale do Itajaí. She works as the director of Orthodox Medical Missions.

Her fiancé is a 1972 graduate of American Oversees School of Rome. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Trinity College and is enrolled at the Saint John Damascus Institute of Theology, where he is pursuing a master's degree in Orthodox Theology.

He is the founder of Orthodox Medical Missions and is employed at Penn Telecom in Butler.
