Some Butler County residents placed among the top three of their respective divisions in the Oxford Athletic Club Sprint Triathlon Sunday in Wexford.

Cliff Thornberry of Wexford won the men's age 50-54 division while Lori Piedimonte of Cranberry Township was second in the women's 40-44 division.

Pam Daugherty of Valencia was third in the open women's division and Kurt Heil of Mars was third in the men's 35-39 division.

Joseph Mauro of Butler, No. 18, 132-yard hole at London Bridge Resort in Lake Havasu, Ariz., with a 9-wood.

Grove City native Cameron Peterson fired a 68-72-140 to win the 13-to-15 age group at the Westfield Junior PGA Championship at Fox Run Golf Club Wednesday.
