Slippery Rock University women's tennis stars Jessica Bungo and Ashley Michaux have earned NCAA Division II All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The doubles team ended the season ranked No. 9 in the country and posted a 32-2 record.

Slippery Rock University women's track and field athletes Karyn McCready and Andi Rose and Rock head coach John Papa received postseason awards recently.McCready, who captured the Division II national championship last weekend in the javelin, is in line to receive a berth at the U.S. Olympic Team trials next month.Her throw of 164 feet was the best by a PSAC performer and 17th best by an American competitor this year. The top 24 receive invitations to the Olympic trials.Rose was named as the U.S. Track Coaches Association's East Region Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Year. Rose had a pair of third-place finishes in the hurdles events at the national championships - one indoors, one outdoors - to earn All-America status.Papa was named the groups Eastern Regional Women's Coach of the Year for the eighth time in 17 seasons.

Alana Reeping, a senior at Knoch High School, will continue her academic and volleyball careers at Westminster College.Reeping, a setter-weakside hitter for the Knights, was team captain, earned WPIAL first-team honors and was named Sprint Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
