Grove City College senior swimmer Drew McKelvy of Portersville earned CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District II At Large College Division honors Thursday.

McKelvy is now eligible for Academic All-America honors. He helped lead Grove City to the President's Athletic Conference championship and won the Dick Jewell Team MVP award.

A four-year letterman, he graduated with a political science degree and a 3.89 grade point average.

Grove City College senior javelin standout Rory Phillips earned All-America status by placing second in the event Saturday at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships at Millikin University with a throw of 211 feet, two inches.He becomes the first Wolverine to earn All-America honors in men's track and field since triple jumper Wayne Sedlak in 1973.
