The Saxonburg District Woman's Club

held its installation dinner at the Field House Restaurant on Route 356 on May 3.

Cindy Sweeney, a member of the Woman's Intermediate League of Butler Circle of Presidents and Past County Presidents, installed theofficers.

They are:

Bernice Durand, president; Karen Boltz, first vice president; Judy Gundlach, second vice president; Jackie Bice, recording secretary; Marie Erikson, corresponding secretary; and Bonnie Bender, treasurer.

Lisa Hummel, director of bands with the Union School District, recently returned from the annual in-service conference of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, held April 21 to 24 in Erie.

More than 150 sessions covered a wide range of music education issues.

The event culminated with concerts by the All-State Choir, Wind Ensemble, Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. They are composed of high school musicians from across Pennsylvania.
