A May 1 wedding is being planned by Carrie Miller of Portersville and Shawn McMurdy of Prospect.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ronald and Pamela Miller of Portersville. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are John and Sue McMurdy of Prospect.

The bride-elect works at American Eagle Outfitters in Warrendale.

Her fiancé graduated in 1998 from Slippery Rock High School. He works for Truck Parts Specialists in Cranberry Township.
