Three young Butler wrestlers have qualified for the Pennsylvania Junior Olympic Wrestling Tournament this weekend in Hershey.

Marino Querico, a seventh-grader, finished first in the heavyweight division at last weekend's regional meet. Fellow seventh-grader Alex Evanoff finished second at 120 pounds.

Cole Baxter, a Center Township fifth-grader, won his weight class at the regional. Baxter won a state title last year.

Butler's junior varsity cheerleaders will compete in the Eastern Cheerleaders Association nationals Saturday in Williamsburg, Va.The cheerleaders won the Slippery Rock competition in December. Squad members include tri-captains Casey Callender, Melissa Grant and Melanie Grinder, along with Lindsey Bernardi, Brittany Cratty, Mindy Geibel, Missy Mato, Brittany Meyer, Lea Renwick, Brandi Scott, Nicole Scott, Becca Snyder, Kristy Snyder, Maggie Steinheiser and Emily Wingfield.Chrissy Wesley is coach of the squad.
