An April 17 wedding is being planned by Annette Hemmes and Mark Boomer, both of Virginia Beach, Va.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hemmes of Oil City. Father of the prospective bridegroom is Michael Boomer of Virginia Beach.

The bride-elect graduated in 1980 from Knoch High School. She works for Cox Communications in Virginia Beach.

Her fiancé graduated in 1985 from Kempsville High School. He also works for Cox Communications in Virginia Beach.
