Mars man returns to dock where paramedics saved him
Mars' Tom Kissel fell off a marina doc and into the Allegheny River in July. He was rendered unconscious.
His faithful three-legged dog, Tater Tot, stayed by him in the water, and was able to alert Mary Jo Lender, Allegheny Valley Hospital nurse, to his presence under the murky water.
Lender performed CPR on Kissel until paramedics came and shocked his heart back to beating.
Today, Kissel and Tater Tot returned to that dock to celebrate his life, Lender and the team of first responders and bystanders who collaborated on saving him.
