Sewage plan topic of Summit meeting
Summit Township will host a meeting on the public sewage project at 7 p.m. July 29 at the Herman Fire Hall, 789 Herman Road.
The Act 537 plan, which has to be approved by the Department of Environmental Protection, will cost an estimated $16 million and include the construction of a plant. The meeting will address the service line and impact on area properties.
Representatives from the Senate Engineering Co. will be on hand to talk to residents about where tap-ins would be on their properties.
Also at the meeting will be a staff member to explain how residents with low to moderate income can apply for a Community Development Block Grant to help fund the mandatory $6,000 tap-in fee.
