Thousands still without power after Wednesday storm

About 2,100 customers of FirstEnergy are experiencing power outages as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

The bulk of those affected is in Buffalo Township, where 665 customers lost power, and Slippery Rock Township, where 601 customers lost power.

FirstEnergy's website also says 397 customers in Brady Township lost power, and 101 did in Clay Township.

The website estimates that power will be restored between 9 and 11 p.m. tonight.

Multiple customers in Penn Township lost power during storms Wednesday afternoon, but FirstEnergy said less than five were without power as of Thursday afternoon.

Central Electric Cooperative lists only a few outages in each of its served townships in Butler County, which include Jefferson Township, Franklin Township and Middlesex Township.
