NAMI Butler County will have its fifth “Stop the Stigma” walk beginning at 10:30 a.m. May 16 at Diamond Park. Register by May 1 to guarantee a T-shirt.

This is a noncompetitive event. Everyone is encouraged to participate at whatever level they are comfortable. Participants can walk along Main Street or just part of the way. There will be snacks, raffles and family fun after the walk.

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the largest grass-roots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with serious mental illness and their families.

BUFFALO TWP — The Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Co. is conducting its annual fund drive for 2020. Letters were recently mailed to all residents, businesses and property owners within the fire company's service area.Those who did not get a mailed request and still wish to donate, may mail a donation to: Buffalo Township VFC, P.O. Box 155, Sarver, Pa. 16055.Notices of local upcoming news should be received by the Community Department one week in advance of the event. Entries should include the name and phone number of the person providing the information and be sent to: P.O. Box 271, Butler, PA 16003, or community@butlereagle.com.
