Just as I was about to write to tell you to thank Homer Tack for his letter stating athletes are not heroes, our veterans are heroes, I read the letter from George Pikoulas and that’s what made my day.

The draft was still calling on our young men to war when my husband joined the Marines. He was treated horribly on his return from Vietnam, missing both legs from above the knee, and winning the Bronze Star and several other medals.

I agree 100 percent with Mr. Pikoulas about Lt. Col. Vindman and wish everyone would read what Mr. Pikoulas wrote. I am sending a copy to President Trump and hope someone gets him to read it.
