Man rescued after truck ends up in creek
Big Knob Fire and Rescue, located in Beaver County just a short distance west of Zelienople, responded to a call Friday morning of a truck partially in the Connoquenessing Creek along Route 588 with its driver trapped inside.
According to Big Knob's Facebook page, Butler County Water Rescue Team 300 responded to the scene along with Zelienople police, Harmony Fire District, Beaver County Water Rescue, Marion Township (Beaver County) police and an auto wrecking service.
The agencies worked together to extricate the driver, who was then evaluated by Harmony EMS medics.
The Facebook post did not say whether the driver was injured or transported to a hospital.
Snow plagued rush hour traffic around the county Friday morning.
