The Sacred Music Choir 2019 will present a concert of Christmas music at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Saint Peter's Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St.

The concert includes a variety of organ works, Christmas carols and sacred choral music from plainsong to 20th century anthems. Choir members are from Butler, Allegheny, and Lawrence counties.

Soprano Deanna Golden will be featured as soloist for “Lullaby on Christmas Eve.” Organist and accompanist Kathy Kemerer will perform works by Bach, Brahms and others.

The concert is free and open to the public. Donations to St. Peter's church are welcome. A reception will follow the concert.

JEFFERSON TWP _ Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rocky Bleier will be the guest of Concordia at Cabot at 2 p.m. Friday in the Haven I Dining Room, 112 Marwood Road, Entrance 2A.The famed four-time Super Bowl champion and Vietnam veteran will do a presentation and be available for a book-signing of his re-released autobiography “Fighting Back.”The book will be available for purchase with all proceeds donated to the Guardian Angel Service Dogs for military veterans.
