MARS — The Valencia United Methodist Church invites the public to attend its first Christmas caroling event at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in Spaceship Square in Mars.

Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided.

Main St., will have “Comfort at Christmas,” a prayer and carol service for those experiencing grief and loss, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.The evening will include scriptural words of comfort, music, speakers and candle lighting. EVANS CITY — St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., will have a Walk through Bethlehem event from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.Visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Bethlehem. Visitors can have a snack in the marketplace, meet a carpenter, a potter, a basket weaver and more. The journey through Bethlehem will lead to the manger.The 30-minute walk is for all ages and is handicapped accessible. There is no charge, but the church will accept donations to benefit the Evans City Food Cupboard.

SARVER — There be a community holiday blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 2 in the library of Zion United Methodist Church, 438 Bear Creek Road.
