State Rep. Marci Mustello, R-11th, will host a town hall Saturday in Saxonburg.

The next “Mornings with Marci” will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at American Legion Post 683, 754 N. Pike Road.

Those interested in attending can register at www.RepMustello.com/events. Residents unable to attend, but who have a question or concern, can call Mustello's district office between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 724-283-5852.

“I encourage residents to be prepared to ask questions about state government and the policies impacting our commonwealth,” she said.

Slippery Rock University will host its 34th annual Healthfest from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Aerbersold Student Recreation Center.The event offers resources and information for students, faculty, staff and community members to help them better care for themselves mentally, physically and financially. More than 60 exhibitors will take part in the event.“Our hope with this event is to try and bring better health and information to everyone, while also addressing those areas of people's lives that contribute to overall wellness, including things like financial wellness, which is a new component we're introducing this year,” said Ryan Stack, assistant director of wellness at the Aerbersold Recreation Center and coordinator of Healthfest.The event will offer nutrition counseling, drug and alcohol awareness, vision and blood pressure screenings and other services.Participating campus groups include exercise science, public health and physical and health education.Student groups — such as the HOPE Peer Educators, Boost Peer Coaching and the Rock Powerlifting Club — will have booths. Butler County Community College will host an open house Wednesday during which a focus will be on how 70 percent of its students are debt-free.According to U.S. Department of Education data, the school has the highest salary-to-cost ratio among 43 regional colleges and universities.The open house will also offer information on degree-completion partnerships that allow students to earn a bachelor’s degree on BC3’s main campus or online, course scheduling options and associate degree programs that enable students to transfer to a four-year college or university.BC3 will waive its $25 application fee for those who apply for admission during the open house, which runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in Founders Hall.Information sessions will take place at 5 p.m. in the Succop Theater regarding BC3’s nursing program and at 7 p.m. in the Science and Technology Building, Room 200, on financial aid.
