Mars boys give Hampton 1st soccer defeat

Austin Rocke and Dane Beller each scored goals as the Mars boys soccer team handed Hampton its first loss of the season, 2-1, Tuesday night.

The victory puts the Planets in first place in Section 1-AAA.

Mitchell Schultz secured the win in net for Mars, who will visit Knoch Thursday.

Freeport 5, Valley 0 — Isaac Wetzel scored three goals and Addison Stewart added two to lift the Yellowjackets.

Luke Heider had eight saves for Freeport (5-2-1, 3-2-1).

Isabelle Willison and Amanda Lewis each scored a pair of goals to lead Slippery Rock to a 7-1 win over Greenville.Kayla Daugherty, Olivia Elliott and Anna Kadlubek also scored for the Rockets, who will host Hickory at 10 a.m. Saturday.
