All-request dance set at Tanglewood
LYNDORA — Look to “Mr. Sixties” Ron Marowitz to spin the oldies music for a dance Saturday at Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.
The all-request evening will begin with doors opening at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m.
“People bring in lists of what they want me to play,” said the Butler resident.
A similar evening was held in the spring.
“In May, I only played one song that I picked, and that was just before I had everyone's list,” he said.
Even that song represented the old and the somewhat newer music: “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” by Bette Midler.
The Saturday evening event's full buffet will feature stuffed chicken breast. Cost is $20 per person.
“I can't wait,” said Marowitz, who hosted a Tumble Inn Revisited night with Dave Martin last year at Tanglewood.

Planned at Tanglewood in October is a performance by Johnny Angel and the Halos. The group is celebrating its 53rd anniversary with a dinner show on Oct. 12. Tickets for the Johnny Angel show are $35.
