Butler native Jack Protivnak is currently working as a Systems Engineer Intern for Leidos at the Atlantic City International Airport in New Jersey. He is currently on the ATOP, or the Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures division.
Leidos is an American defense, aviation, information technology, and biomedical research company headquartered in Reston, Va., that provides scientific, engineering, systems integration and technical services.
Protivnak, a computer engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering, has been designated to the school’s dean’s list and he also has been selected for the National Leadership and Honors Organization, Sigma Alpha Lambda.
He was named an honor student at the Swanson School for the term ending in April.
Protivnak graduated from St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights. He is the son of Larry and Marlene Protivnak of Butler.
