Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to find a barn in Center Township engulfed in flames.

“At that point, we knew it was unsalvageable,” said Mike Pflugh, first assistant chief for the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department.
The various fire departments are working to put out the hot spots at the 455 W. Sunbury Rd. site. Authorities received the call at 12:14 p.m. and had it under control at about 12:50 p.m.
Pflugh said no one was injured in the fire. The family was home at the time.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
