New display coming to Jeep festival

The Faces of Jeep exhibit at the 2019 Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival will add another decade to the mix.

The historic display now features Jeep grilles from the 1940s through the 1970s.

Seven grilles from Jeeps of the 1980s will be unveiled at this year's festival, which will be June 7 to 9 at Cooper's Lake Campground in Worth Township. They are:

Grand Wagoneer final-type grille

Cherokee and J-series trucks, muscle-type grille

Wrangler YJ

1984-84 XJ Wagoneer

1986-87 Cherokee Comanche

1986-90 XJ Wagoneer

1988-90 Cherokee Comanche

The Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association, festival organizer, is seeking local businesses and individuals to be “presenters” of the 1980s grilles at a cost of $500.

Presenters will receive a sign declaring them the grille's presenter that will remain with the grille for future festivals, recognition on the Faces of Jeep website, mention in the Butler Eagle in an article on the grille display project, four tickets to the festivals and other benefits.

Those interested in presenting a grille can call 724-256-4050 or email info@bantam.org.
